Stepping Back In Time

LET'S ROCK AND ROLL!

Courtesy of Mr Gerald Lee, I was invited to a fair celebrating the glorious 50's. It as a nice little fair, my only gripe was that I had to pay $12 to enter the Rose Sielder house, because it was a heritage listed touristy thing......I know whatcha thinking....tight arsed meanie, but I got there around 2 pm when the fair was almost finished....anyways, I had a good time, so it was semi worth it.....

This is me of course trying to do my best interpretation of a Japanese touristy pose. Don't think its cutesy enough.......

A very glamourous welcome!

Its not easy trying to look like a needle in a haystack (gosh, I'm so corny tonight.....)

The house was quite nice, housed right in the middle of a forest and seemingly lost in time...everything in the house looked 50's. Like......

This analogue rotary telephone! My grandma used to have one of these when we were younger, and boy, its takes so long to dial all the numbers just be make a phone call. Can you imagine trying to do an SMS on one of these??!!!!

Semi professional photo of me taken by Gerald against one of their feature walls in the house....very pop art-ish.......

I love this robot!!!!! Almost bought it if not for the fact that I don't have a cabinent to display it in....quite pricey though...about $40 for some bits of nostalgic metal put together....

Errmmm....is this meant for expanding the chest only?

Hhhhmmmm....I know!!!

It was a great day, other than the fact that I had to pay $12 to....oh! I think I've mentioned that haven't I? City Rail, of course, was stalking my every movement and decided to do trackwork on that part of the line that day, so we had to get a bus from Gordon to Wahronga station, then wait for the shuttle servie to the house. But overall, it was a great day, just for something different. Will probably go again next year, but will attempt to be earlier and will dress up for the occasion.

Leave you guys with one of the performances that day....
