Told you I'd be here....

Well I'm back...Friday nights are good for blogging, when I'm all relaxed and ready to let out my frustrations. Not that I have that much frustrations to vent, but as you get by life, some things are bound to piss you off yeah?
Music is my key to relaxation, and as I get older, 60's music has really begun to grow on me. Before this, I was a real techno head, with doof doof beats sounding off my alarm clock at 6 in the morning. Now as I mellow into yellow jello, my tunes of choice have shifted to the Supremes, Petula Clarke, Carly Simon and the Monkees....you get the drift...
Songs were so fun then, about other girls stealing your boyfriend, about being vain, about stopping in the name of love.....non of the drive by shootings, drugs, revenge we hear so much in songs nowadays.
Call me an old fart, a sucker for romanticism, a sell out...but these songs really transport me to an era I wish I could have been born in. All the fabulous fashion, the luxury of owning a TV, dancing next to your radio and chasing after those gorgeous pop stars......no PSPs, no mobile phones, no emails, weekends hanging out with your friends....ahhh...life was good then wasn't it?
Songs from that era are really good for reminiscing too. Of the good times I had back in Australia, and all of the great people I've met. Sydney is a place that will always have a special place in my heart. While I was born in Singapore, i have found a different kind of family in Sydney. Sometimes I wonder if I was really from Australia in my last life. The familiarity of the streets, the parties we've had at our apartment, the beaches that stretch on for miles, the cosy little restaurants down dark alleys...can't seem to find that in Singapore...or is it maybe cos I'm not looking hard enough, or is it due to the fact that my baby love isn't next to me right now...nobody knows.
If I had a time machine to bring me back to where I should have been, I'd probably be able to meet me in my last life in Sydney. Where there's no PSPs, no mobiles, no emails and just me and my baby dancing to the latest hits of 1965, right here in our lounge room...
Life would have been good then eh?

Terrible terrible blogger

I am so sorry, my eternal fans. I have let you down and not blogged for more than a month....I've been very busy and stressed out with work and just haven't had the mood to blog for a while. Excuses, I know, but its true....

So please bear me me fir a few more weeks and I promise you I will resume regular blogging. With the Christmas season coming up, I'm sure there'll be lotsa topics I can put the Grandmaster spin on...

And if I can figure out how to convert the video format to something that is uploadable, I'll be able to show you my TV appearance a few weeks back where I was featured at my workplace. Then all of you will finally understand what I do for a living. This gives you all a few weeks to learn Mandarin because it's a Chinese program, hehehe....

Until then...see yas all.....
