HOW BIG'S YOUR BROTHER?

Can someone tell me what shit is coming out of Channel 10 these days?

Yes, I'm talking about the dumb-ass reality TV show they call a study of human behaviour and society. First of all, we have Gretel, who continues to let her ever changing stylist make a mockery of her dressing. I love Gretel on Beauty and The Beast, just not on that dumb ass show. Every time she comes on screen, she reveals yet another secret which means nothing at all. I think she must be so tired of trying to hype it up by now....

"Wait! I have another secret...in addition to the 67 I've already told you....."

Then there was the hype of bringing in housemates who have heaps of life experience behind them so that they can have more intelligent conversations in the house....Ok...and what did BB do on the first night? (which was actually a pre-recorded Sat night, notice how no mention was made of that in the subsequent shows even after the papers exposed them?) He sat all girls together in a secret room for them to ogle and judge the boys based on their appearances as they enter the house! Hardly a situation for any smart conversation I think!

I was reading so many publicity materials before it started (they were at every turn) and the common point was that the contestants are not as good looking this year, but the way they put it across seem to make us think they are getting fuglies in there this year.

Let me quote Gretel from Sunday's TV guide.

"They (the contestants) - no offence to the people - are not going to be as overtly attractive. [This might be] possibly based on the theory that really attractive people haven't has as urgent a need to develop other parts of their character."

Yes, Professor Killeen, I must be one ugly human being.
And then what happens on opening night? The same old bunch of boring good looking people who no longer have a platform to show their bits (with Uncut now cut).

Saying that....I do have a fave though....Don't know his name, but he's the token Nerd, the Karaoke host....funny and chubby....not that I'll be watching him.

Tim Campbell was booted out of Dancing....damn! I liked him, his dancing, his look....nothing much else to watch on TV now.....

Now, I was doing some silver jewellery design course a few years back and I found some pics of my projects. I will show them off now, you don't have to say they are gorgeous, I already know....

And look at this little dress I bought for Gordon and Yuly's baby girl! Its so cuteeeee!!! I can't believe that kiddy clothes are as expensive as a full grown adult's dress! I thought cos they use less material, but no way! Just as expensive......

I designed this card as well because greeting cards are so expensive. The cheapest card for a newborn was $6.95. I made this card for about $1.50.

Australia's Got (Some) Talent

Looking back at some of the videos I've taken of some of our friends, I've come to the realisation that many of them have an extraordinary amount of talent. Have a look at the following videos and see if you agree with me that these people are just made for TV.

First up, we have Keith, who is a wonderful cook/chef and should have his own cooking show. Maybe like The Knackered Chef or something like that.....

Here we have Firman, who is a natural dancer, singer, comedienne and an all round superstar. He should be on Big Brother, although it'll be really difficult to have to subtitle him all the time.....

Last we have Sharon in this classic clip that is just made for Australia's Funniest Home Videos...Notice the umbrella she has? It was raining.......

And only in Australia can you get a major city road closed off for a protest against the government. There was a massive one this morning and I took this video from our balcony. It's almost like Mardi Gras in the day! The video taken after that was when I went downstairs to join in the "fun". Anyways, there was a free concert at the end of the protest march and I'm sure it had nothing to do with the huge turnout (about 20,000).

Are you interested?

One of my fans recently asked me a shocking question....

"Have you lost interest in your blog?"

The answer is "NO!". Just because I haven't been blogging as regularly doesn't mean I'm losing interest! As my popularity increases with the media visibility of this blog, I have to get used to a socialite's life and being invited to so many events in the past couple of months hasn't helped in keeping up with the regularity of my posts....

Well, ok....The truth is nothing much has really been happening in the last few weeks. As most of you would know, my mum will be arriving soon to visit me, and I have been trying to go out less to save money for the impending extravagance when she's here. Hence, having not much of a life has drained my creative juices for blog entries....

So now I shall focus on what's really important to me. Myself.

My brother Ben recently remarked that I appeared to have lost a remarkable amount of weight as evidenced by the photos in my last blog entry. Although I admire my body in the mirror every single day, its difficult to see the weight loss when your judgement of your own body is tinged with delusion. However, photos never lie, and so I present to you....

THE BIGGEST LOSERS (on Oxford Street)!

before....

and tah dah!!!!!!ok, well, maybe its not that obvious yet, but I'm working on it.

And now, Contestant Number 2

before......
And look at him now!!!

Now all we have to do is to get a deal for a television advertisement for Subway, Jenny Craig, Lite 'n' Easy.....anything at all........and we'll be rich!!!!

But seriously, every since we started going to the gym and eating a little bit better (we still do KFCs and Indian....), we've now feel so much better, am sleeping better and am always full of energy (most of the time).

Alrighty, enough self promotion for now, that's all for this entry....

SUNSHINE REFRESHMENT!

I'M BACK! (well, since Thursday anyway!)

I had such a great time, free food, classy accommodation and most importantly, free booze! I must honestly say I have never eaten and drank so much good wine and eaten so much good food consecutively in my life. It was great that the company is doing this for us, cos it really motivates us (me, at least) to work harder towards achieving the company's goals.
The Hyatt Coolum was as impressive as it looked on the website. It's basically like a village with a massive golf course, bungalow styled accommodation with its own bars, gym, spa, restaurants and NINE swimming pools!! Unfortunately I was kept busy by the conference and didn't get a chance to use any of the pools. I did use the bars a lot though. I couldn't help it! The room assigned to me was right across from the main bar, and every time I try to walk back from the dinners, I was always pulled across by my colleagues for "another drink". One drink led to 8 more followed by true team bonding of stumbling back to our rooms together.

And it was so good that we were all assigned individual rooms, that saved the would be victim from my notorious snoring.
Now lets have a look at the rooms.....

The front of my bungalow

The lounge room with broadband Internet access of course.....

The bed that I didn't have to share with anyone

The shower which was NOT fitted with water saving flow restrictors.Feels so good to have 6 million gallons of water raining down on you once you turn the tap on, a luxury I could never have at home

The dunny felt like it was designed for short people
The lovely bath tub which came with a DIY spa essentials (meaning you pour in the bath creme containing essential oils yourself)

Now lets get those jealous feelings riled up even more with my fetishy pictures of the food I ate..

Wait, wait, wait....I'm not done yet......

So everyone got the picture that I had a fabulous time!!!????

On our final night, we had a theme party where everyone had to dress up.

The theme was CALYPSO.

AND GUESS WHAT!

I WON !!!!

All my years of learning how to dress up for parties has not come to waste......

$50 Coles Myer voucher straight into my pocket!
