An Ode To A Find

Friday evening, end of work

Homebound train, 5 minutes due.

Tangara whizzes by, the alert chimes,

Down a level I head, my favourite row.

Newspapers strewn,

Spilled coffee looms,

Dickheads posing as artistes,

scrawling signature views.

But nothing could prepare me,

for the shock that was to be,

for what's lying limp on the laminate floor,

will destroy Australia's moral core

Shiny, silky, thin and stretchy

reclining against the patchy floorin'

You would have thought it was catchy,

until your shoes almost cop a slippin'

I had to take the photo. It was unused, or had an impotent owner.

Martyn,

HELLO!!!! Sorry I haven't written a comment until now. I have actually read every single posting since you started. I guess that makes me just lazy, hehe. All I can say is that I love your blog and am always looking forward to the next new posting. They are brilliant and oh so funny!

It's been too long since I visited good old Australia and will have to do it again. Plus I'd love to see you and Matt again. Well now that you guys have become super fit too!!!

Just saying hello from way across the pond.

Hao (now in San Francisco).
